It is highly sustainable because it diverts 100% waste polypropylene from landfills and oceans, giving it a second life. Furthermore, the carpet itself is fully recyclable at the end of its long lifespan.
Yes, it is completely safe, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic. The woven tubes create a smooth, slightly cushioned texture that is soft on knees and hands, not scratchy.
The material is entirely non-porous and moisture-resistant. Dirt and mud do not sink into the straws—they just sit on the surface. Simply shake or rinse the carpet before flipping it.
Nope! Unlike heavy canvas tarps or solid rubber mats that trap moisture and suffocate the ground, our breathable weave allows air and light to filter through. Your grass can breathe underneath, making it totally campground- and backyard-friendly for temporary setups.
Polypropylene is naturally hydrophobic, meaning it resists moisture. However, trapped water between the carpet folds can smell if left completely sealed for weeks. We always recommend giving it a quick shake and letting it air dry for a few minutes before rolling or folding it away for long-term storage.
Our carpets are infused with UV inhibitors directly into the raw material before weaving, not just coated on top. While intense, multi-year sun exposure can affect any material, our carpets are engineered to retain their vibrant colors significantly longer than standard outdoor carpets.
